Leave it to Simone Rocha, darling of the London fashion scene, to offer up a decidedly fresh interpretation on a would-be cultivated makeup moment.

Just one day after Halpern sent a party of glitter-coated gazes, each contained by an artful rim of kohl, down the runway, Rocha's belted and billowing collection was afforded extra cool points with an application of sparkle amply pressed into the inner corner of the eyelid before diffusing into a below-brow constellation.

For the achievable look, makeup artist Sam Bryant kept complexions clean save for the dousing of shimmer, which ranged in shade from silver to gold to mulberry, depending on skin tone—and crown. As if the lid-level glitz wasn't majestic enough when worn alone, hairstylist James Pecis topped updos rife in romantic flyaways with a series of feathered, bauble-bedecked crowns, some covered in lace-trimmed veils, others matched to sets of embellished earrings.

Functionally, though, the light-catching makeup moonlighted as a tiara transmutation all on its own. Just call it the contemporary answer to old-world regality—and to your next night out makeup quandary.
